Two of the biggest principles that the cryptocurrency industry centers around is the absence of censorship and central authority. These two factors alone brought in a substantial number of investors in multiple Libertarian campaigns. Censorship has been something defended and advocated by Cobra, one of the owners of Bitcoing.org and Bitcointalk.org, and it is one of the reasons that he is no fan of Jack Dorsey.
Taking a stand against the CashApp platform, the mobile payments application from Dorsey’s Square Inc platform, Cobra commented that it will likely promote the same censorship that Bitcoin fights against. His comments were brought up in a discussion with Riccardo Spagni, who leads Monero (XMR). Spagni asked if he was looking to switch to the Bitcoin SV side that includes both nChain’s Craig Wright and Ayre Group’s Calvin Ayre.
Cobra quickly commented on the question, while also taking a jab at Dorsey.
No. Twitter banned my account for “suspicious activity”, and removed everything from my following list. Word of caution for everyone riding @Jack’s dick, the same de-platforming tools will be applied to @CashApp eventually; loss of your money or suspension based on arbitrary BS. https://t.co/B52Ev5wrkq

Speaking on the suspension, Cobra stated that the cause was a tweet that he wrote about Bitmain. He added, “No idea what made them think I was doing anything suspicious.”
The tweet he is referring to happened earlier this week, when Bitmain posted about the launch of their new ASIC chips for crypto mining.
He questioned Bitmain’s market performance, saying,
“I thought BITMAIN was bankrupt or was getting chased out of the market by Halong Mining.”
Cobra remains a constant voice in favor of Bitcoin, along with its values in universality, ubiquity, and a lack of censorship. When the proposal of reducing a block size for Bitcoin down to 30 kb was thrown around by developer Luke Dash Jr and John Carvalho, it did not take long for Cobra to call the option a “contentious hardfork” that would ultimately damage Bitcoin.
If anyone wants to see Cobra’s true feelings of Bitcoin, another tweet of his said,
“Bitcoin is revolutionary. Money is the one thing that has gotten ‘worse’ since the start of the 20th century. Can you imagine that? People that died of Botulism and that didn’t have access to antibiotics had more monetary freedom than you. Fiat money needs to be destroyed.”
Supporting this notion, he added,
“Bitcoin is worth more than every other altcoin COMBINED. Let that sink in”.
