A recovery in Bitcoin’s [BTC] prices to as high as $7,200 has boosted other altcoins to post solid gains. Even as risk appetite seems to have returned to the market, Litecoin [LTC] is also performing well. In just one week, the coin has gained over 16 percent in value.
The virtual currency earlier found support at $62.12, following which it rose sharply. LTC is still rising and experienced a break from the first resistance level, noted at $64.72. The coin is still gaining steam and could soon be valued at $70, if it can hold on to its gains.
The 100 EMA line, at the time of writing, showed that the crypto was in an uptrend. The MACD indicated that the coin was trading in bullish territory. LTC was exhibiting a significant trading range of $62.13-$66.88. As of 1916 GMT, the digital asset had gained 7.5 percent against the U.S. dollar to trade at $66.51.
At the time of writing, the altcoin has risen 5.2 percent against BTC. Currently, one LTC is equivalent to around 0.0092 BTC.

- Steemit.com expects the coin to trade at $3,500 by the year 2020 while Longforecast.com has predicted that the digital currency’s value will be in the range of $780-$1,374 in 2020.
- According to Smartereum, LTC will likely end the year at around $600. Going by a forecast by investingpr.com, the price of the coin could reach up to $1,000 by this year.
